One-way Travel Document (TD) allows a Nepali citizen to travel from Hong Kong/Macao to Nepal ONLY. It is usually valid for 2 months from the date of issue and is good for a single one-way journey only.
Once the applicant is in Nepal, they are required to apply for passport from Nepal itself in order to return to Hong Kong/Macao. You may apply for one-way travel document if:
- If your passport has expired or has been lost/damaged and you need to travel to Nepal urgently and cannot wait for new passport.
- For infants who have not yet applied for their passport from Consulate.
Process to acquire a one-way travel document is as follows:
- Step 1: Email the required documents (see below) to cnghongkongnp@gmail.com
- Step 2: Consulate will verify the documents and ask for additional documents, if required.
- Step 3: After documents verification, Consulate will send you appointment date and time.
- Step 4: Please visit the Consulate as per appointment with completed TD form, original documents and their photocopies, as well as 3 passport size photos of the applicant.
Required Documents:
- Completed application form (Form available at Consulate office or Download Travel Document Form).
- Police report if the Previous Passport is lost.
- For Adults (applicants above 16 years of age)
- Previous Passport or a copy.
- Nepali Citizenship Certificate.
- Hong Kong/Macao ID or Visa.
- For Minors (applicants below 16 years old)
- Previous Passport or a copy.
- Birth Registration Certificate.
- Nepali Citizenship Certificate of both parents.
- Marriage certificate of parents.
- Nepali Passports of both parents.
- Hong Kong/Macao ID or Visa of both parents.
- Minor Identity Card (if available).
***Any other document as deemed necessary by the Consulate.
Please bring photocopies of all documents.
Fee: 400 HKD for Regular Process, 3 working days ||| Double Fee for Urgent Same Day Service (subject to document approval)
- Fee paid for Passport and Travel Document is non-refundable.
- Only cash please; personal cheques and credit/debit cards are not accepted.
- Applicants should be present in person while submitting and receiving the passport/travel document.
