VITAL DOCUMENT ATTESTATION: Vital documents issued by Hong Kong authorities that need to be presented in government offices in Nepal can be attested at the Consulate. Please check with the concerned Nepali office regarding which documents need to be attested for the services you require.
- Birth Certificate:
- A child born to Nepali parent/s in Hong Kong can attest their Hong Kong Birth Certificate at the Consulate.
- Attesting is usually required by your local Ward Office for birth registration (जन्म दर्ता), which in turn is a requirement to apply for Minor ID (नाबलक परिचयपत्र) or Citizenship Certificate (नागरिकता).
- To attest Birth Certificate, APOSTILLE from Hong Kong High Court is currently NOT REQUIRED.
- Marriage/Divorce Certificate.
- Consulate may or may not attest other documents on a case-by-case basis.
Process:
- Email the document to be attested, along with Nagarikta, Passport and HKID of the applicant (or in case of minors, the parent"s documents) to cnghongkongnp@gmail.com
- Subject to document approval, Consulate will provide appointment within 7 days; arrive punctually with original and copies of all documents.
- FEE : HKD 400/- (with appointment) | Double FEE for Urgent Service (subject to document approval)
